Piku's trailer has become a hit among the critics and the viewers. Now here we give you Nine reasons to grab your tickets to watch #Piku, which is scheduled to release on May 8.
Family Drama :- The film has been shot in Kolkata and Deepika and Big B will be seen playing Bengali characters. The trailer shows wonderful father daughter relationship shared by Deepika and Amitabh Bachchan in the movie. Not just on screens, Big B calls Deepika as DeePiku, combination of Deepika and their movie title Piku.
Deepika Padukone :- Her role is quite different from what she has ever done before, from her looks to her character, Deepika has managed to impress the people in the trailer. She plays a professional who lives with her eccentric father and embarks on a road trip with him. With her effortless charm, infectious smile and acting ability, it would be great to see her play the titular role.
Amitabh Bachchan :- We’ve seen him play a number of roles over the years but we’ve never quite seen Mr. Bachchan like this. In Paa he left us spell bound and in Piku, he has taken his comic role to a whole new level.
Irrfan Khan :- Whatever role Irrfan Khan chooses to play it becomes a memorable character in the film. Irrfan Khan's role in the movie is like a breath of fresh air, he looks young and apt for the role.
Shoojit Sircar:- The director who has given films like ‘Madras Café’ and ‘Vicky Donor’ is back with one more. Like Vicky Donor, Piku also looks at bodily functions but with a humourous twist. And with a power-packed cast of Deepika, Amitabh Bachchan and Irrfan, we can’t wait to see how his road movie with a heart pans out.
Chemistry :- This may be an odd pairing, but from the looks of the trailer the actors have made it work and look quite cute together which I am sure even the audience will love.
Storyline :- The movie is based on a father-daughter relationship but with a comic take on it. Now who doesn't like a little bit of emotion in the movie. From emotional and messy father-daughter relationship to Irrfan Khan’s acting, the film is a complete package of a perfect entertainment family drama. ‘Piku’ looks like a perfect blend of emotions and comedy with interesting witty dialogues.
Dialogues :- Dialogues like the one Amitabh Bachchan says, "Insaan Ka Emotion Uska Motion Ke Saath Juda Hua Hai" will make the audience love the movie.
Music :- Bengali singer-songwriter-composer Anupam Roy already has people humming his tunes. He has not only given the music for the film and sung a couple of the tracks, but has also penned the easy-going lyrics. Each song has its own charm and brings out the Bengali roots of not just the composer but also the film. Let’s see how the soundtrack and the background score play out in the film!
