The year 2014 marks the beginning of an era of Congress-Mukt Bharat for the BJP. It recorded its best performance in Lok Sabha polls (282 seats). Along with other political surprises, the year brought sunshine in the life of BJP national president Amit Shah as he was discharged of all the fake encounter cases by a CBI Special Court on December 30 2014.
