Like it or not, you can’t ignore that social networking phenomenon
called Facebook. Whether you’re an online-all-day junkie, a capricious
on-and-off user, or on the verge of deleting your account, the question
to ask — is it playing havoc with my relationship?

2. One of you is too public: Whether to make the world jealous of perfect little universe or simply show off a little, have you been going overboard with status updates and photographs of your undying love for each other? Your wedding, honeymoon, pregnancy, baby showers, the baby itself, sugary-sweet family get-togethers... you both need to agree on how much is too much.
3. Passwords have been asked and refused: There’s no reason to share passwords of email or social networking accounts. Unless it’s an emergency where one of you can’t access your account and need some important information. However close you are, you don’t share your toothbrush everyday. The same rule applies for passwords.
4. You simply prefer FB time to us time: According to this recent study, Facebook is preferred to sex. If you have been adding to the statistic, you need to have an “FB Anonymous” talk with your partner and analyse why us-time has been losing its heat.

5. Questions get asked about respective “friends”: “Who’s that guy?”, “That girl seems familiar...” — cute/tolerable at first because it shows you’re interested in your partner’s life, but can soon get annoying and invasive. If you really must know, ask once... in a tone as casual as possible. In case he/she beats around the bush, discuss it if it seems like an issue. Or simply drop it.
6. The past has reared its ugly head: Everyone has a past, even the “good” boy/girl next door. The sooner you come to terms with it, the better. If you/your partner is FB friends with an ex, it doesn’t have to mean that they’re going to jump into bed all over again. Instead of holding a grudge or cooking up wild stories in your head, talk about it if it bothers you.
