Samsung to launch " Smartphone with 3-sided screen "


If you’re having trouble imagining how that looks, recall the company’s Galaxy Note Edge, whose screen has one curved side. According to the Bloomberg report, Samsung will release two smartphones in March, both with a metallic body. The other phone will reportedly have a regular, flat 5.1-inch screen.


Bloomberg‘s report claims that Samsung will launch two phones, one of which will have a curved screen; however, the older report did not mention the screen curvature on both sides. It said the two phones will be variants of the Galaxy S6; Bloomberg‘s report also implied this, but never actually explicitly called the devices S6s.

Micromax launches world’s ‘slimmest’ phone in India


Micromax says the device is the slimmest and lightest in the world, Canvas Sliver 5 priced at Rs.17,999. The 97-gram device ships in a 5.1 mm thick body and has LTE support and a Sony Exmos CMOS chip attached camera with Blue Filter. It has 4.8-inch AMOLED display and will be available in two colours — gold and black.




The Canvas 5, which comes with Android Lollipop, will get its boost from a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 1.2GHz Quad Core processor and a 2GB DDR3 RAM.

The device sports an eight-megapixel rear camera, while the front camera is of five megapixels. It comes with 16 GB of storage.

The phone has light sensor, gravity sensor, proximity sensor, magnetic sensor and accelerometer sensor and pre-installed apps like Scandid, Swiftkey, Hotstar, Quikr, Cleanmaster and Snapdeal.

The Canvas Sliver 5 comes with a free 4G Sim and double data offer from Airtel which doubles the 4G data amount for any consumer activating the 4G Sim.

The device will be available from end of June across India.

Micromax, with 18 percent, currently has the second largest market share in India following Samsung which has 22 percent according to analytics firm IDC.

Motorola`s Moto E (Gen 2) launched at Rs 6,999


Motorola today launched the 3G and 4G variants of the second-generation Moto E smartphone in India, priced at Rs 6,999. The smartphone will be available available from midnight Wednesday via Flipkart.The company, however, did not reveal the price of the 4G version, but promised that it will be launche in the next couple of months.

Nokia Lauches it`s First Android Tablet N1


Nokia announced its first Nokia-branded Android tablet, the N1. Gone are the colorful polycarbonate plastic shells of old along with the Windows Phone operating system, to be replaced by an aluminum body and something called the Z Launcher. The tablet, running on Android 5.0 (Lollipop), using Nokia's own Z launcher, is called N1.
